Outreach Volume Estimator

Everyone sets the customer target. Almost nobody works backwards to the number of conversations it takes. Put in the rates you already have and see the daily volume your goal is quietly asking for.

This is a full-time outbound role, not a morning block. Move the target, widen the window, or improve the worst rate before you start.

What breaks first

Your trial-to-paid rate is the weakest link in the chain, so every touch you add is being taxed there first. Fixing it is cheaper than adding volume.

Reply rate 12% of touches
Reply → trial 35% of replies
Trial → paid 15% of trials
Doubling the worst rate halves the volume. Doubling the volume just costs you the afternoon.

How the maths works

It is one chain of multiplication, read backwards. Customers divided by trial-to-paid gives trials. Trials divided by reply-to-trial gives replies. Replies divided by reply rate gives the number of people you have to reach. Divide that by your days and you have tomorrow morning.

The result is usually two to four times higher than the number founders guess, which is the entire point of doing it on paper before doing it for a hundred days.

Where to get honest rates

Trial-to-paid comes from billing. Reply rate comes from counting your last fifty sent messages, not from a benchmark article. If you have no history, run fifty touches first and come back. A week of real data beats any default in this calculator.

Paid ads plug in the same way. Impressions replace touches, click-through replaces reply rate, and the minutes-per-touch becomes money instead of time.

Knowing the number is the easy half.

Distronaut turns it into one named action every morning, with the draft already written and the chain counted.
