Privacy policy
Distronaut holds a list of things you plan to do and a record of whether you did them. That is a small amount of data and it is treated accordingly. This page says exactly what is stored, where, and for how long.
Who is responsible
Distronaut is operated by an individual sole trader based in the European Union, acting as the data controller for the information described here. Contact: hi@danieldaneshi.com.
What is stored on your device
Your actions, edits, session times, streak, ledger entries and any numbers you log are written to local storage on your iPhone. If you have iCloud backup enabled, they are included in your own encrypted device backup, which we cannot read.
Deleting the app removes this data from the device. Removing it from an iCloud backup is done through iOS settings.
What is stored on our servers
An account record: your email address, the plan you are on, the date you joined, and a subscription identifier issued by Apple. Nothing else about you is required to run the service.
If you subscribed to the weekly post without creating an account, we hold only your email address and the date you submitted it.
Studio requests
When you ask Studio for a draft, the text of your request, the action it relates to and the product description you gave during onboarding are sent to a third-party model provider for processing, over an encrypted connection.
Requests are not used to train models. They are retained by the provider only for the short abuse-monitoring window their terms require, and are not stored by us beyond the draft that comes back and lands on your action, which lives on your device.
What we never collect
We do not connect to your email, social or advertising accounts. We do not read, import or store your contacts. We do not post anything on your behalf. Distronaut has no access to any account other than its own.
Analytics and tracking
The website uses privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics that records page views and referrers in aggregate, with no cross-site tracking and no advertising identifiers. No cookie banner appears because no tracking cookies are set.
The app reports anonymous crash diagnostics through Apple. You can switch this off in iOS privacy settings.
Payments
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card details. We receive a subscription status and an anonymous identifier so the app knows which plan you are on.
Email we send
Transactional email only: receipts and service notices. If you opt in to the weekly post, that is a separate list with an unsubscribe link in every message. We do not sell, rent or share your address.
How long it is kept
Account records are kept while your account is open and for thirty days after you delete it, then removed. Newsletter addresses are removed on unsubscribe. Invoices are retained as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can request a copy of everything held about you, ask for corrections, or ask for full deletion, by writing to hi@danieldaneshi.com. Requests are answered within thirty days and there is no charge.
If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or where it goes, account holders are emailed before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
